Sometimes you find it where you least expect it…. A little piece of my fiction. January 24, 2014. January 24, 2014. So, today I thought I would share a little piece of fiction. This is a small excerpt from Tyler’s point of view. Now, Tyler is the former love interest of my protagonist, and it would seem that he has gotten a little more than he had bargained for after running into his old flame…. When did life get so complicated? Probably around the time you slept with Meg. Yeah, thanks conscience for that.

Sometimes you find it where you least expect it…. February 17, 2014. For those of you who are a literature/sports nerd combo like me, I have a question. In what circle of Dante’s. Does one have to be in in order to be spat back to earth as a junior high basketball referee? Or if the laws of karma are more your thing, what would I have to have done in this life for that particular career to be a part of my next? February 4, 2014. February 4, 2014. A little piece of my fiction. January 24, 2014. Ooo thanks...

Because I can never have too many books to read…. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore. Asymp; Leave a comment. Book 3 in the Graceling Realm trilogy. Eight years have passed since the young Princess Bitterblue, and her country, were saved from the vicious King Leck. Now Bitterblue is the queen of Monsea, and her land is at peace. Whatever that past holds. 95/10 Really loved this (but as far as favourites of the series go, Fire has to be my fave). Would I re-read it? Who would I recommend it to? Fans of the tri...

Series was called Graceling. Fire is in the same world as Graceling but on the other side of the continent. I just discovered that there is a new book in the series that I have yet to read. Bitterblue which takes place about 8 years after the events in Graceling. I am immediately adding this to my reading list and hope you do too.

Wisdom through Words: February 2014

Wednesday, February 12, 2014. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I couldn't find the author's personal website, so here. S a link on Amazon to buy it. I read this book nearly a year ago and it still haunts me. I still think about it. This is one of those books that you have to hold on to, for just a little bit more. One that takes you a while to come out of that "world" and go back to your real world. One of the only books that I've thought that all of my friends and/or family should read. Even perfect stra...

The Host (Maddie L). You may be thinking "Oh golly, that's the author of (insert tittle). I don't want to read that! Maturity: A mature 11 year old could handle it. I would recommend this book because it is a super cool idea. The language is fine and the characters believable enough to create a nice little chaos world. Great dystopic read for those going for the long haul. Books like this: Hunger Games, Divergent, Struck, Poison Princess,Under the Never Sky, Across the Universe. Darker Still (Maddiie L).
