Grace's Peace Corps Azerbaijan blog. April 1, 2013. I spent Christmas 2012 in Baku with my friend Hedvig, who was living there and working as an intern at the Norwegian embassy. We had a nice dinner and gift exchange on Christmas Eve at her colleague/friend’s house. It was nice and cozy! Grace's Peace Corps Azerbaijan blog. October 8, 2013. My neighbor’s canning for winter (every household does this). Have I mentioned that my site has been under construction for two years? This went on in my apartment yard, and the power went out for hours at a time for days. This is the computer lab where I was assigned to work. This is where the ladies of the apartment complex gather in the yard and sit together. These are the stairs leading up to my apartment. This is the main room in my apartment.
