THE DEPTHS OF THE FOREST – PASTEL PAINTING | graham mcquade
https://grahammcquade.wordpress.com/2015/08/16/the-depths-of-the-forest-pastel-painting
A Diary of my Painting. THE DEPTHS OF THE FOREST – PASTEL PAINTING. August 16, 2015. I was pleasantly surprised with the result; the image has an undersea feel, which might open up some other images. I might try a bigger version and then work out from there. For the moment here’s the first version. Other pastels are on my website: grahammcquadefineart.com. This entry was posted in forest. A Diary of my Painting. THE HEAT OF THE GAME – ACRYLIC PAINTING. August 13, 2015. This was from a set of photos I have had kicking around for a while. I did an unsatisfactory watercolour with them a while back, but thought I might try with acrylic. Other paintings can be found on my website: grahammcquadefineart.com. A Diary of my Painting. SPLASH – SCULPTURE: HAND CARVED SYCAMORE. August 10, 2015. This is a piece I have just carved which is made up of a trunk which was cut into two and then joined together to increase the width. I wanted the feel of water being thrown aside by a sudden force , like a rock hitting the surface. Not sure about the impact of the piece, but you can only try. Other sculptures are on my website grahammcquadefineart.com. This entry was posted in 3D Art. August 10, 2015 at 23:16. Notify me o...

A Diary of my Painting. Author Archives: graham mcquade. SCARISBRICK MOSS – PASTEL PAINTING. November 11, 2016. I wanted to do a painting of the expanse of fields and woods that lie inland from Southport, where I live, just north of Liverpool . I’m a bit underwhelmed by the outcome, a game of two halves, in my opinion. I tried to put variation into the grass but it still doesn’t come off – just too much of it. Other paintings of the locale are available on my website: grahammcquadefineart.com. A client w...

My Painting | Writing Finger
https://poetryinthemountains.com/my-painting
Translations of Poetry from Galician and Spanish into English. The paintings that you see on this blog are all my own. I paint outside amongst the trees or up on the mountains. I walk to where I am going. The practice of painting is compelling because it is a part of my lived experience, quiet amongst trees with my backside in the mud. The painting gives me patience to be there and a discipline to look and feel. I often feel it is like meditation. Here you can see paintings without poetry: Painting Finger.
