Graham Sigsworths Skye Trip 2016. Sunday 19th June 2016. June 19, 2016. July 2, 2016. We stayed at an area on North West Skye in Trumpan. There is a local walk to Waternish Point which heads North through a metal farm gate. The area to start with is through a rough grazed field which is full of wild flowers and lots of Orchids. The walk continues across Moorland and produced Skylark. Hooded Crow, Buzzard, Common Gull, Herring Gull. And best of all a very distant White. Monday 20th June 2016 →.

Monday 9th June 2014. June 9, 2014. A trip today to Hecho Valley which is a must for any birders visiting the Pyrenees. First stop was the lowland areas well before Hecho. Drive up the valley and park at the side of the road viewing the good fields on your left. The local farmers were cutting their hay and as such Raptos were everywhere. First seen were. Red Kite, Black Kite, Short Toed Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, Booted Eagle, Common Buzzard, Griffon and CC Marsh Harrier. Were everywhere and a very showy.

Tuesday 10th June 2014. June 10, 2014. A visit to France today for high altitude species. Stopped at a ski resort called Portalet and walked from the left hand shops into the Mountains. Birds seen were – Red Kite, Black Kite, Peregrine, Kestrel, Griffon, Egyptian, Linnet, Chough, Alpine Chough, Cirl Bunting, Black Eared Wheatear, Water Pipit, Raven.
