As parents, we both realize how much time we spend criticizing our children amid all the correction we are called to do in a given day. They need to learn to honor their elders, to honor their parents, friends, classmates (church or school), and also those younger than they. The model set before them starts with me in the home, day in, day out. When daddy comes home, his words, his actions. I needed this reminder today.

Sunday, July 6, 2008. What a Nice Party! Thanks so much, Dave, for inviting us all out to your cabin for our reunion! What a nice party! The food was wonderful and we all had such a nice evening! We are invited back here in five years and those that didn't get to come.please come in five years. It was so peaceful and beautiful here and the food was excellent. Guess who we all are! I'll send a prize to the first one who gets them all right. If you attended tonight.you can't play.you goofs!

A first for our family: since Sis doesn't really make Valentine cards anymore (and Feb.14 fell within a week where co-op classes were on break anyway), we picked up ready-made cards at the dollar store. All 3 of the boys like the cartoon characters portrayed on these cards, so we did all the same. 3 boxes, 3 dollars, tattoos came with, it was a breeze! Can you imagine who enjoyed this most of all?
