City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Monday, April 13, 2009. I am grateful daily for Lydia and that she chose me as well. We have been talking a lot lately about how quickly this last year has gone and how grateful we were how well the first year went. In fact as we were going to bed last night, she remarked "I thought that the first year was supposed to be rough! Wednesday, April 08, 2009. Just look at my blog title! Tuesday, April 07, 2009. The main reason I haven't posted is that the blog was about me...

http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Well, as you guys know I moved to Granbury. Almost a year ago (crazy, isn't it? The entire town of Vernon, TX assumed I moved here to find a wife. I can honestly say that isn't why I came here. Yet that is what happened. I haven't been posting much in the last few months because I didn't know whether or not to divulge all of this info. But here it is! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: May 2008
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Thursday, May 15, 2008. In January of 2007 Brad was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called chondrosarcoma. After 3 massive surgeries in a 4 month span, 2 1/2 months of stomach bedrest and hundreds of hours of physical therapy, our family continues to take each day at a time. I want to extend the prayer circle ever so slightly through this blog. Go to www.thewims.blogspot.com. To get the full scope of what this family is going through right now. The Source fo...

City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: one amazing year
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2009/04/one-amazing-year.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Monday, April 13, 2009. I am grateful daily for Lydia and that she chose me as well. We have been talking a lot lately about how quickly this last year has gone and how grateful we were how well the first year went. In fact as we were going to bed last night, she remarked "I thought that the first year was supposed to be rough! Aaahhh. I love you, My Chris! And may all of your years be as easy - or at least as "not hard" - as this one. Glad you are in my life, too!

City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: some explanation
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2009/04/some-explanation.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Wednesday, April 08, 2009. Just look at my blog title! So, all rants aside, that is why I used the term "Ranch Style World". While I do like the beans, I don't think they are a fitting enough reason to use them as an inspiration for a blog title. Now, coutry fried steak.that might be a good idea. That's why The Ranch drives me crazy. Who are they to decide who's worthy of their music? Way to defy Fort Worth stereotypes, The Ranch. I think it's funny!

City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: September 2007
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Quick thoughts from class. I am sitting in my grad school class on a break and I am a little frustrated. I enjoy the knowledge that I am getting so much! Yet, I really have a tension within me about the fact that very few people in the world think along these lines. I am fascinated by the amount. Is the bible meant to be interpreted on an everyday, lay-person's level? Or is it meant to be torn apart and dissected. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: August 2007
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Monday, August 20, 2007. The goings on of late. To have a post like this at the end of every summer. When things are winding down for the summer in youth ministry, they seem to be ramping. Also, this ministry is forcing me to be more of an administrator. I am so happy that God has placed her in my life. Pray for us. This post is random and rambling as most of mine are. I simply wanted to update you on the world of Robey. And my prayer needs. City Slicker in a Ranch Style World: February 2008
http://chrisrobey.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
City Slicker in a Ranch Style World. Monday, February 25, 2008. The "bad' kids part 1. What was striking to me about this group was that these kids (the difficult ones) are the ones that need to most love and attention yet will demand the most discipline. I am a horrible disciplinarian! I have much more to say about this so I will post a "part 2" soon. Post your thoughts if you would and we will keep the discussion going. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
