Friday, June 09, 2006. A Little Corporate, but More Bohemia! Their Spanish was amazing and I really look up to them for being able to translate so fast and clear. The President of the DR didnt show though. His chair did though, along with the chairs body guards. Ya. Don't ask me. My co-workers basically told me that he is the president and does what he wants. Overall though, both days.bueno, bueno, bueno. Well some people in the group are coming over tonight to watch the basketball game.

Saturday, June 10, 2006. Just a relaxing weekend I guess. No beach. Trying to get over a minor cold though so it probably is the best for me. I was supposed to go out last night with my friends from work but had to cancel because I wasn't feeling well. A girl I met while I was working the conference called too. Monday, June 12, 2006. Its all about the Comida! Yesterday Danny had family over for a BBQ. The food was great but the conversations were awkward. Ryan and I just kinda sat there for awhile sweltering in the heat. It was pretty obvious we werent from around these parts.as everyone else seemed to be cool.not even sweating. Tonight I embarked on the latest DIY-Mex experiment here in Melbourne: making my own cotija cheese. I love cotija, and use it in all my favorite dishes, from sopes to enchiladas to tortilla soup. The absence of cotija in Australia is one I keenly feel, and substituting feta- though I do it- does not help. As well as providing the cotija recipe itself.
