Mike and Emily's Blog. Saturday, 8 September 2007. Well it is Saturday the 8th and we have had a bit of a double edged sword kind of result. We know what the smell in the conservatory is: Stagnant water and backwash from the stench pipe! We have had the damp course put in and as you can see we have had some plastering done as well. Mike and Emily's Blog. Monday, 31 December 2007. Here is the latest from the house. A friend of a friend is also coming round to do some work as well. He is a builder by trade and is going to do day rates for us to get some of the more skilled or time consuming jobs out of the way (loft hatch, concrete floor etc). Anyway, we are also in the process of moving to the new Wardens flat two streets over which sounds easy but is really a pain in botty. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Things are a changing.

Mike and Emily's Blog. Friday, 11 September 2009. Finally, another post! Well it has been a very long while since our last blog entry. The house in nearly finished, I have just re-sealed the bath as the tiler had not done the best job and it was going mouldy. We have embarked on landscaping the garden too. This is what it looked like before we started, well we had cut down all the foliage and saved the plants we wanted to keep. And this video shows what it like as of today nearly 2 weeks later.

Mike and Emily's Blog. Sunday, 9 September 2007. We are both absoutely 'Dun in'. As you know from yesterday we found out that our sewage pipe was cracked well we have had to dig it out and get the new run exposed so that the drain people can come and change it. By digging it ourselves we save money so hence being 'Dun in'. Liking the new embedded video. Much better. Although I did feel like I had been kidnapped and was being led to my final resting place when Mike put his hand over the lens.

Christmas is next week and we are going down to London to see the Taylor olds but then they are coming up to help on the house for a couple of days so hopefully the next pictures will show quite a few changes, Emily is going to wallpaper and put up coving and Phil and I are going to do the plasterboarding I think.
