Letters from Asia: May 2007
http://lettersfromasia.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2007. A common sight in China: The bicycle traffic signal. (Let's hope they don't become a thing of the past with China's increasing car-owner population.). Wednesday, May 16, 2007. Xikou, Anhui - the base of operations for a weekend in the sticks - your average, dusty, small town in China, population 20,000. http://ambling-sheep.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Crouching Tiger - Ambling Sheep. Friday, December 29, 2006. So, tagged eh? To J at the Granite Studio. For tagging me. There are an awful lot of China blogs out there now and, most of them have more readers than this one so it's nice to think that I've managed to make someone chuckle. The assignment was "7 successes in 2006" or "5 things most people don't know about you". I was already working on the successes as a round up of 2006 so that's probably too easy so I'm going to take on both tasks at once.

The Crazy Insect: January 2009
http://thecrazyinsect.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Caught by the light, trying to make some sense . Tuesday, January 27, 2009. A couple of days ago, "Danwei". Brought this article, which seems to have aroused some commotion on the chinese BBS-fora, to our attention. It relates the story of what appears to have been a class, taught by a Renmin University professor and well-known sociologist, Zhou Xiaozheng. Topic of the impromptu lecture: "Israël is definitely a good country". Speech on his belief in the inherent goodness of the Israëlian state? Students,...

The Crazy Insect: July 2008

Caught by the light, trying to make some sense . Sunday, July 13, 2008. I know this is supposed to be a China-blog, but sometimes there are other things that take precedence over the Middle Kingdom and last month was just such a moment, when one of the most remarkable persons I have and will ever meet in this life came to pass away and started on his journey to the Yellow Springs. So for him, this posthumous tribute:. Brel-ude for a friend". Adieu l'Émile je vais mourir. Le Moribond"; Jacques Brel).
