Saturday, 15 April 2017. Yorkshire Dales and the Flying Scotsman. We saw an advert for a short coach trip holiday to the Yorkshire Dales that included a trip on the Flying Scotsman on the Keighley to Worth Valley Railway and decided it was an ideal opportunity to see a part of the countryside that we had never visited before as well as having a trip on this special steam train. These are all photos as the Flying Scotsman arriving at Oxenhope. Steam loco on the back of the Scotsman train. Grassington is a...

Granny Creations: July 2015

http://grannycreations.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Monday, 20 July 2015. I found a blog. There is a very help Do Over group on Facebook and people are coming up with great ideas and I have learned many things, including how to make custom facts.now I can mark up each individual that I have checked the correctness for data. Saturday, 18 July 2015. This is the card that I made from Pat's parcel using embossing. I embossed the tag that I added to the paper from Pat's parcel and I used some of the included glitter strip to add to it. This is the card that I ...

Granny Creations: July swap parcels

http://grannycreations.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-swap-parcels.html

Saturday, 18 July 2015. My friend's daughter kindly.or not so kindly, shared her chickenpox and so I have not been able to go over and craft with her this month. I had to tackle the parcels all on my own with no little tweaks that I often do when meeting with Terri. Get well soon Terri. This is the card that I made from Pat's parcel using embossing. I embossed the tag that I added to the paper from Pat's parcel and I used some of the included glitter strip to add to it. 19 July 2015 at 07:31. Welcome to ...

Granny Creations: June 2015

http://grannycreations.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, 27 June 2015. This months cardmaking parcels gave plenty of scope. I enjoy trying to use a different technique for each parcel. These cards were from Pat's parcel and I chose rubber stamping for the technique. The first one is a stamp I bought ages ago and have never used. And this card was for Pat's grandson, Eli. I stamped the train for this one. These three cards were from Terri's parcel and I chose diecutting for the technique. My Christmas card for the month. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Granny Creations: May 2015

http://grannycreations.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 26 May 2015. May Swap Parcel (Terri). The backing paper, image and fancy diecut came from Terri's parcel so it wasn't difficult to decide I would diecut for the technique for this parcel. I found a snippet of card to put a scallopped circle behind the image and de cut a plain white circle to go behind the fancy diecut. I am entering this over at the Playground. May Swap parcel (Pat). Anyhow up . here are the cards I made from Pat's parcel and I used the heat embossing for my technique. I used so...

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: Dotty for Spotty

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2014/10/dotty-for-spotty.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Friday, 31 October 2014. Well, I've actually managed to get this months cards made and blogged with a couple of hours to spare! I only managed to make 2 cards from each parcel, not because there wasn't enough stuff to use, but simply because time wasn't on my side. Anyhoo, here are the cards from Terri's parcel:. Now on to Liz's two. November's challenge is my choice and for some strange reason, I chose the Four Elements. Don't ask me what I was thinking when I chose it, I was pr...

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: Keeping Busy

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2015/06/keeping-busy.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Friday, 5 June 2015. It's been a very productive couple of months here, so much so, I wonder if there's anywhere I can order extra hours to add to the days :o). That will be the next blog, though. This one is more of a crafty nature :o). Since April 2014, along with my friend. Liz at Granny Creations. I have been making ducks, on and off, for the. Little Yellow Duck Project. These are some of the ducks I've made. I've left them in hospitals, parks, a church and even a castle :o).

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: May 2014

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Monday, 12 May 2014. Christmas in April . . . But cards shown in May :o). April's challenge was to make Christmas cards to put in our stash, in the hopes that it would kick-start us into making them on a regular basis and save the usual last minute rush to get them done. What is Christmas without that sinking/panicking feeling that you've forgotten to send a card to great Aunty Mabel or cousin Boris? Not that I have either, but you know what I mean :o). First up, Liz's parcel. I love...

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: January 2015

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Saturday, 17 January 2015. Where on earth did 2014 go? One day it was July, the next day it was January! When I was a kid, I used to say *I wish I was 10, I wish I was 13* etc. and my Mum always used to reply - *Don't wish your life away, it goes quicker than you think* Of course, I'd snort and not believe her - after all, the summer holidays lasted FOREVER and the sun shone every single day :o). Now, I know better . . . :o). Well, that's the plan, anyway :o). View my complete profile.

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: Remembrance 2014

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2014/11/remembrance-2014.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Sunday, 9 November 2014. I have very strong views about Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday . I don't think wearing poppies glorifies war, as some people seem to think and I don't think two minutes silence on each day is too much to ask. Maybe I feel this way because I *do* my family tree and we have lost family members in both world wars and in recent conflicts. 9 November 2014 at 22:33. Totally agree with you Pat :) x. Pea Jay Kay's Patch: February 2014

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Friday, 28 February 2014. Before The Big Garden Spring Clean . . . I thought I'd better quickly blog the cards I made from February's 1, 2, 3, challenge. I would have done it earlier, but the days have just flashed by and here we are, at the end of the month already. Anyhoooooooo - here we go. The challenge was 1 piece of plain paper or card, 2 pieces of patterned paper or card and 3 embellishments. These are from Liz's parcel. This card is a favourite. I got the agapanthus stamp...

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Monday, 8 September 2014. Foggy, Foggy Daaaaay . . . Sung to the tune of *Starry, starry night* if you like :o). We have been held captive indoors for the past couple of months because of Shaun's operation and other health problems, but yesterday, I put my foot down with a firm hand and TOLD him in NO UNCERTAIN terms, that come hell or high water, rain, hail, fog or snow, we WERE going to walk into town, do a bit of shopping and then wend our weary way home again! The harbour had its...

Pea Jay Kay's Patch: August 2014

http://peajaykayspatch.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Pea Jay Kay's Patch. Monday, 11 August 2014. A Summer of Sport. Our card challenge for July was sport, which was quite appropriate, given that we've had the footy world cup, the Commonwealth Games, Glorious Goodwood and Wimbledon this summer. I made 4 cards from Terri's parcel and three from Liz's. I probably could have made more, but things at home have been somewhat busy, what with Shaun's operation and recuperation, so finding time wasn't particularly easy :o). This is my least favourite. I don't ...
