Granola Couple: Toby Dog
http://www.granolacouple.com/2012/04/toby-dog.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Toby is our 2 1/2 year old border collie/english pointer mix. He is perfect (except for his one ear that sticks up higher than the other and his asymmetrical face paint). He was an engagement puppy for me—who needs a diamond when you can have a perfect pup? Toby loves: frisbee, trail running, snuggling, licking, swimming, harassing Cleveland Cat and chasing his tail. Toby is perplexed by: reflections, sirens and things that fly. Toby's biggest fear: Dudley Cat. Wading through thi...
Granola Couple: March 2013

Saturday, March 9, 2013. Josh has been telling me it's a good idea to race this. I think it's a terrible idea, but I was informed that I'm officially registered. This year they are doing a 'half pint' version that is only. 100 miles, which is what I'll be doing. I've never ridden my bike more than 40 miles in one day (and it was a mostly flat 40 miles). I'm very grateful this weekend is Daylight Savings for two reasons:. Which is hard to do when it gets dark so early. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, May 2, 2012. How to have fun racing mountain bikes when you're lousy at riding:. My favorite part of prepping for Josh's races has always been planning for food. He is very particular about his nutrition while racing and I've always been particular about having food in general. I quickly learned the best part about racing—getting to eat all day without any feelings of guilt. Josh got some pictures of the happenings around our tents:. Shannon prepping our campsite. Shannon in his changing kilt&...

Granola Couple: August 2012
http://www.granolacouple.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Riding Donatello and watching my dad progress with his new horse has got me feeling a bit nostalgic. I felt like I should pay a little tribute to the best pony that ever lived. And no, I'm not biased, this is a fact. Kharma and me at the 2001 North American Young Riders Championship. Kharma loved: Donatello, food, me and Twizzlers (in that order). Kharma was perplexed by: Pop Rocks. Kharma was terrified of: Don abandoning her, other horses and absolutely nothing else. Someday, ...

Crunch, Crunch, Crunch. Becoming Granola on a Budget. Monday, August 3, 2015. A Letter To My Daughter. You are going to be 2 years old in under three months. Lately I've found myself reminiscing about the days when you were tiny. But I also think a lot about your future.
