Vegan Sunshine Pizza: Made of Yellow | Mostly Vegan Nerdery
https://granolagoth.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/vegan-sunshine-pizza-made-of-yellow
Vegan Sunshine Pizza: Made of Yellow. For those of us who have a loose definition of pizza and a disdain for most vegan ‘cheese’, there is possibly no better balm for the soul than a hearty, healthy well-made flatbread that flaunts its differences rather than offer up inferior attempts at the traditional. Enter the sunshine pizza. Hummus – twice the amount that you would normally use of tomato sauce. ( here’s a basic recipe for frugal folks with a food processor. Handful of sunflower seeds. May 31, 2012.
About | Mostly Vegan Nerdery
https://granolagoth.wordpress.com/about
Granola Goth: n. A member of the gothic subculture who nevertheless enjoys outdoor hobbies like hiking and camping, and has a hippie-like interest in healthy food. This site started as a food-blog response to many questions over the years from friends and family and co-workers, regarding how I’ve managed to be a physically active, healthy, vegetarian-going-vegan for over a decade, how I tackle the quantities of strange vegetables from our office-delivered CSA. There will only be metaphorical granola.

Vegan Showdown: Eating During the Storm
http://veganshowdown.blogspot.com/2012/11/eating-during-storm.html
Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Friday, November 2, 2012. Eating During the Storm. Hurricane Sandy came and went in Baltimore. I'm very fortunate. Except for some leaks here and there, and a loss of income, my household was unaffected. It was, and still is pretty chilly here though. 15 oz tomato sauce. 1/2 head roasted cheddar cauliflower. 1/2 head broccoli, chopped. 1 roasted red pepper. Naturally, I also made cookies. I realize now that I began to make good on my promise.
Vegan Showdown: Curry and Cabbage
http://veganshowdown.blogspot.com/2012/11/curry-and-cabbage.html
Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Thursday, November 15, 2012. The description of the Butternut Squash and Green Beans in a Coconut-Milk Curry. In 5 Spices, 50 Dishes. Suggests using the leftover butternut squash in a raita, which is a lot like a salad or relish, and is meant to be an accompaniment to an entree in keeping with Ayurvedic cooking practices. So I flipped to the appropriate chapter in the book, just to take a peak, and I noticed the Tangy Shredded Cabbage Salad. The a...
Vegan Showdown: Even More 5/50
http://veganshowdown.blogspot.com/2012/11/even-more-550.html
Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Is going to derail my Indian cuisine kick. I didn't really mean to start off my cookbook exploration. By focusing so heavily on one book, but I got carried away meal planning last week. Plus, 5 Spices, 50 Dishes. Has proven to be so user-friendly, and has yielded such tremendously delicious results that it's been hard to put it down. In fact, the super quick and easy recipes have been for breakfast most times. Now I hav...

Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Monday, October 29, 2012. Vegan MoFo 29: Apple Crisp and Waiting for the Storm. We're all waiting for the storm now. As part of my disaster preparedness plan, I used up my 4 lbs of apple to make the crisp recipe from Vegan Pie in the Sky. Despite having had this book for about a year now, this is only the second recipe I've made from it. Also, the line at the pickle stand was finally not some twisted waiting game, so we got wasabi pickles! Awww, y...

Vegan Showdown: No Thank You, I'm Vegan
http://veganshowdown.blogspot.com/2012/11/no-thank-you-im-vegan.html
Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Sunday, November 11, 2012. No Thank You, I'm Vegan. I didn't say this last night, rather, it was said to me. It was very exciting. Earlier that yesterday afternoon, I was ready to finally make the Figgy Apple Hand Pies. From Vegan Pie in the Sky. Then I realized why that book is so under-utilized in this house. Pie almost always requires two recipes when you count the crust, and I had no Earth Balance to make one. I went to talk to one of my super...
Vegan Showdown: Pizza!
http://veganshowdown.blogspot.com/2012/11/pizza.html
Embracing the challenges of the American vegan lifestyle. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. I've broken from the hold of 5 Spices, 50 Dishes. And cracked open one of my other books! I chose Grilled Seitan Caponata with Lemon Pilaf. From The Sexy Vegan Cookbook. For a birthday dinner for my gentleman friend. Since the recipe for the Caponata. Yields more than I would need, I went ahead and took Brian L. Patton's advice and made some pizza. Now, I had already made the Tomato Killer. And the Balsamic Glaze.

The Industrious Sinner: Portfolio Rejects
http://industrioussinner.blogspot.com/2013/10/portfolio-rejects.html
Genuine guilt, ironic pleasures. So it's time once more to try and go get a job, doing art or something else. Meaning time to look over my drawing folder and see if I think any of it is fit for the eyes of potential bosses. None of this is, to my mind. This won't do on account of how it's sexy fanart. Plus the. Anatomy seems weird, like her neck is too bendy or something? Probably worth a redraw. Unfinished, plus it doesn't really demonstrate the compliant spirit. I associate with successful employment.
