Up A Tree: Clinton Cemetery Revisited
http://upatreegenealogy.blogspot.com/2010/03/clinton-cemetery-revisited.html
Thursday, March 25, 2010. After the forty degree plus variations in the weather this past week here in Lawrence and another snow, I took the opportunity to head back out to Clinton Cemetery and take some more pictures. There were still a few blankets of snow and the ground was a bit soggy, but it was seventy and sunny, and I took advantage of the warm break, since another cold front is on its way. I find the John W. and Lily M. Anderson family in 1920 in Marion, Douglas, Kansas. Donald W. Anderson, a...

Again With the Comics: Comics' Numerical Nightmare
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2008/03/fun-with-numbers.html
Again With the Comics. Thursday, March 20, 2008. I was reminded today of something that both annoys the hell out of me, and which cannot ever really be fixed. After nearly two decades of reboots, restarts, and relaunches, there are precious few comics left that have kept their original numbering. It used to be a good. Restarted at #1 and the old Superman series numbering continued with Adventures of Superman. 424 Adventures of Superman went on for almost two decades, and only recently reverted to Superman.

Again With the Comics: DC is Losing Me.
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2011/03/dc-is-losing-me.html
Again With the Comics. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. DC is Losing Me. Photorealistic Bouncing Boy is TERRIFYING. Remember when the Legion of Superheroes. Was notoriously the DC book that was way too complicated to understand? Let's just admit that we've gotten to the point where the entire DCU is in a constant state of Legion-Level migraine inducing complexity, shall we? Okay, I'll be buying this one. My pull list for DC Comics is taking a massive hit in the next couple of months as my beloved Doom Patrol.

Again With the Comics: Alas, "The Governator" We Hardly Knew Ye.
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2011/05/alas-governator-we-hardly-knew-ye.html
Again With the Comics. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Alas, "The Governator" We Hardly Knew Ye. Well, at least this. Won't be happening now:. As described by Co-creator Stan Lee in the pages of Entertainment Weekly. 1149 (April 8, 2011) The Governator. Would have seen Arnold Schwarzenegger running around behind Maria's back -as a superhero. And a comic book series via Archie Comics. I love Stan, but given previous history, I'm pretty sure that if this "love child" fiasco hadn't happened, we would have seen ...

Again With the Comics: The Dreaded Porcupine: A Super-Villain You'll Never Forget!
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2007/11/dreaded-porcupine-super-villain-youll.html
Again With the Comics. Friday, November 30, 2007. The Dreaded Porcupine: A Super-Villain You'll Never Forget! So after naming the Porcupine a “turkey”. I decided to re-read his very first appearance in the pages of Tales to Astonish. 48, and was mildly surprised to see that he actually had a pretty good thing going; aside from all the sucking, that is. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what-all the Porcupine can really do. Alex Gentry wouldn’t be a low-level scientist in a silver-age Marvel c...

The Fashion Spot: Dustin Nguyen
http://comicfashionspot.blogspot.com/2008/09/dustin-nguyen.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2008. So This cat is relatively new to the Comics world, and in my mind, has the potential of being the next Jim Lee. Nguyen is going to be HUGE. His batman work right now is phenomonal, and is soon to be collected in a rather yummy looking hardcover called Batman: Private Casebook. It collects Detective Comics #840-845, the beginnigs of Nguyen's run with Paul Dini Scripts. Check him out on the web at duss005.deviantart.com. And duss005.blogspot.com. Okay, come back Friday and chec...

The Fashion Spot: August 2008
http://comicfashionspot.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. Okay, so this week I'm reviewing what I consider to be a stand alone issue of Uncanny X-Men, Issue #337. It's a Quasi-Epilogue to the Onslaught crossover event. It was written by Scott Lobdell with Pencils by Joe Madureira and inks by Tim Townsend. Honestly I probably shouldn't be reviewing this book as A) I've never read the Onslaught stuff and B) I'm not really a fan of the X-men at all. I only picked it up for the Cover. The interior art was good, but not as good as MAD! 6/10 ...
