[Excerpt] All what Jazz? | Study Abroad Scotland
https://grantscotland.wordpress.com/2010/06/26/excerpt-all-what-jazz
Grant investigates his Scottish heritage. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. June 26, 2010. Excerpt] All what Jazz? Excerpt from Megan’s blog. Screaming into the void? Greetings, one and all! Ok, so I’m back in Ohio. I’m currently sitting at the bar with Grant and Blake while they play CoD. I tried it out, it’s pretty fun. Anyway, enough of that. Where was I with Chicago? The Tower from the outside. The Coastline to the South. (That’s Lake Michigan in the blue). View of Downtown Chicago to the South. Lonely Plan...
Hello Scotland… I’m backkk! (Part II) | Study Abroad Scotland
https://grantscotland.wordpress.com/2010/09/12/hello-scotland-im-backkk-part-ii
Grant investigates his Scottish heritage. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. September 12, 2010. Hello Scotland… I’m backkk! In addition to going to Belgium, Megan and I were fortunate enough to take a little side-trip to the world capital of sex and hash! Well, to make a long story short, we got lost a few times but eventually found an open spot at third P R. It was located further away than the other ones we had tried, but it was still only a 15 minute tram ride into the city. Megan was right after all! Fill i...

Grant investigates his Scottish heritage. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. November 16, 2010. Excerpt] EDI, CDG, CVG, CMH FML. Excerpt from Megan’s blog. Screaming into the void? Well, the 28th of October has been and gone, and here I am in sunny Ohio once more. Alas, it’s not quite as sunny as I remember it, but the humidity was a little ridiculous anyway, and besides, autumn here is even more beautiful than autumn in Edinburgh. That’s right! At sunset the trees all light up in ochre. Grant undertook the task...

Grant investigates his Scottish heritage. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. July 1, 2010. Excerpt] The beginning of the end. Excerpt from Megan’s blog. Screaming into the void? See that flap of skin at their throats? When a predator grabs it in its teeth, it detaches and the deer has it away on its toes, unscathed! I thought this was cool. I was like,. Well, almost. Right after I reversed the Massive Ferguson back into the barn and escaped unscathed, we checked out the farmhouse, which was really old and du...
Edinburgh – my favorite city | Study Abroad Scotland
https://grantscotland.wordpress.com/2010/05/13/edinburgh-is-my-favorite-city
Grant investigates his Scottish heritage. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. May 13, 2010. Edinburgh – my favorite city. I could write a sappy entry about how much I have loved my time in Edinburgh, but I won’t. Instead, I will leave you with a list of things which I will miss about Europe’s greatest city. Going to the Jazz Bar with Megan on Monday nights, drinking wine, listening to music, and watching some old guy named Dave Bachelor rock out on the trombone. Needing to only walk a few minutes in any direction...

Random adventures around Brisbane | Study Abroad Australia
https://grantaustralia.wordpress.com/2009/05/04/random-adventures-around-brisbane
Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. May 4, 2009. Random adventures around Brisbane. I’ve had the same conversation with many international students who are also studying abroad in Brisbane – there is nothing to do here! Although the festival was very neat and ecclectic, I was taken aback by how donation-driven it was. The festival sponsor, associated with the Buddhist temple, charged-not asked-several dollars to do anything and everything. Want to light a candle and ...About...

Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. March 4, 2009. My triumphant return to academia. The past several weeks here in Brisbane have been a learning experience for me, even though the transition has been relatively easy. When I arrived I was nervous and stressed: How do I use the transit system? Where do I get groceries? How can I possibly find housing without a phone? Where am I going to make friends? I only have two rules…. 8220;Do not swim in the ocean as tiger sharks, bull sharks, and great whites may eat you.” and… well I don’t really remember the second rule. Our tour-guide had effectively captured my attention with talk of such danger. Posted in Australia Travels. Laquo; Koalas and more koalas. My triumphant return to academia. Finding Nemo | Study Abroad Australia

Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. April 18, 2009. WARNING: This is a long post, but I hope you take the time to read it. I’m not really sure, but it wasn’t the likes of ‘Finding Nemo’. After all, that is just an embellished and exaggerated fantasy world conjured up by a Hollywood animation studio, right? As it turned out, Heron Island WAS a real-life ‘Finding Nemo’. I wasn’t sure. Posted in Australia Travels. Laquo; South to Sydney. No more skin diving! Wikipedia – A...

Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. June 7, 2009. The beginning of the end. And this was our last chance to hang out together. Many of us will be busy from here-on-out with exams and mini-vacations. For instance, Christina and I will be heading off to Cairns on Wednesday to relax, read books, and scuba dive for nearly a week. To see new pictures, especially of the picnic, scroll towards the end of the photoflow or CLICK HERE. Posted in Brisbane Travels.

Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. June 24, 2009. The calm before the storm. What did we do in Cairns for 6 days? I have one more final exam and then I will be coming home! It seems so surreal to think that I only have only a few short days left in Australia. It really does seem like I just arrived. As much as I’ve enjoyed studying-abroad, I miss home and am completely burned out on school. SEE YOU SOON. Posted in Australia Travels. Laquo; The beginning of the end.

Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. March 22, 2009. Dreamworld… where dreams come true? I must first apologize for my lack of travel blog dedication. I updated last week, but then I realized that I came off sounding like I was suffocating from boredom and overall displeasure – which is not the case. With that being said, I will do my best to update this beast more frequently. I only have a few pictures to update with, and most involve food. Go figure. Enter your comment here.
No more skin diving! | Study Abroad Australia
https://grantaustralia.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/no-more-skin-diving
Grant goes on an adventure down-under. Posted by: Grant Stubbins. April 27, 2009. No more skin diving! No I owe it to my Dad for suggesting that I get my scuba diving certification. It is the perfect once in a lifetime opportunity: 5 star PADI dive center, top coral reef dive sites, and a sport totally unnatural to me. Who is to say really. Maybe when I become infinitely wealthy I can just buy an island down here and go diving at my own leisure. Posted in Brisbane Travels. Laquo; Finding Nemo.
