Layers

I have found that many competant users of PSP have not discovered the advantages of Layers and even more are afraid of Vectors. They are both ways of keeping your graphics fluid so that they can easily be changed right away or in the future. First I will make a quick graphic. This is not an art lesson so it will be very basic but it will give you an idea of how each element goes on a new layer. Open a new image. Open the picture tube. Recently someone emailed me asking me to explain perspective. I soon realised that explaining perspective in an email was like getting a marshmallow into a piggy bank but I did feel that I could explain the basics on a web page if I included lots of pictures. I am an expert in perspective drawing but not a teacher so please bear with me as I attempt to explain and please be patient as the page loads all the graphics. Points I will cover. Reality and the way our subconcious mind alters the way we see it.
PSP Photos

Whether you scan your pictures from hard copies or download them from a digital camera there always seems to be something that needs to be changed. This tutorial is for beginners and uses PSP 7 which has tools especially made for this purpose. The first thing you need to do is get the correct tools on the tool bar. If you have not changed the photo toolbar everything will already be there. To display the photo Toolbar click "View - Toolbars" Check "Photo Toolbar" and "Close". Location : 'File' / 'Open'.
