After a few too many beers with the guys from the Netherlands, I dragged myself out of bed the next morning to see the monkey temple and catch an early train to Bangkok. For the next hour or so we had free time, and everyone wandered around the retreat lawn, not quite knowing what to do with free time, no books, no computers, and most importantly no talking. I turned on the light to find a nasty nasty room - dirty sheets, water all over the floor, and rats running around. Ugh. Sunday, April 17, 2005. Today, TJ and I went and splurged on new clipless pedal systems and swanky biking clothes. Afterward, we went and tested out our new acquisitions on a little ride down Alameda de las Pulgas to Stockbridge Rd, up and around Eleanor Drive and back again. I did the same route yesterday in running shoes and toe clips and wound up walking the second half of the Eleanor Drive circuit- no mojo in my go-go. Shimano M515 Pedals - basic, cheap, reliable pedals. We went over to Chain Reaction.
