Yesterday I was craving something salty and carby and wondered if I could make them at home. Ahthe internet is a wonderful thing. So here is my take on making your own soft pretzel at home. Coarse salt for sprinkling. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle flour on the counter and knead the dough until it is smooth.

Crafty Things and Such Like Stuff. June 1, 2015. Step 1 : Turn paper plate over so that ‘grey’ side facing you. Draw a square in the centre of a paper plate. Extend the lines to the outer edge of the plate as shown in the picture. So basically make a big hash. Step 2 : Cut every other. Line from the outside to just the square. The Art of Vetkoek. May 18, 2015. Winter is officially on its way and boy do I love the season! Warm fires, good wines, cuddles and of course yummy foods. My favourites are definitely curries. And what better with curries than vetkoek! Vetkoek can be described as a fried bread to non-South Africans. After my mom died, I carried on the tradition in the house. Kneading dough is one helluva workout! So lets get down to the nitty gritty! 7 Cups of all purpose Flour. 2 teaspoons of Salt. 2 tablespoons of Sugar.

May 26, 2015. May 26, 2015. I’ve been looking around for a while for a quick bread roll recipe and I’m sure this is the quickest one to do everything by hand. Maybe one day when I’m big I will be able to afford a bread/dough fancy shmancy machine. These rolls are so amazingly tasty and softthey could give any shop a run for their money. And as you can do everything under an hour, they will be a hit if you need rolls to accompany supper or for the kiddies lunch boxes the next day! 2 packets of yeast.
