Full of rich chocolatey flavour, it's perfect for serving over all sorts of puds such as ice cream, cake and clafoutis. This gravy would be especially delicious poured over chocolate fondant or chocolate souffle. 6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa. 6 tbsp. plain flour. 2 tbsp. butter. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1 litre full-fat milk. The cream added at the end just makes the recipe a little richer, but you can leave this out if you want. 5 tbsp. tomato passata. 5 tbsp. tomato ketchup. 5 tbsp. beef stock. 2 tbsp. red wine. 1 tbsp. This lovely sweet gravy will work wonderfully well with all sorts of white meats, especially if they've been cooked with sugar or syrup. It would be especially delicious with pork, but it would also work well with chicken or turkey. 4 tbsp. flour. 2 tbsp. butter. 1 tbsp. maple syrup. 1 tsp each dried thyme and dried marjoram. Melt the butter and the maple syrup in a large saucepan. When frothy, add the flour. Stir together and then cook for 2-3 minutes. Back to the Gravy Recipes. 5 stars - Excellent!

This appley pork gravy is wonderful for serving with pork or chicken - apple is cooked down with onions until soft and sweet before being simmered with stock. If you have no apples in, use a few tbsp. of apple sauce instead. 1 tbsp. oil. Finely chop the onions. Peel and core the apple and finely dice it. Heat the oil and cook the onions for 25 minutes or so or until browned and soft. Season with salt and pepper and simmer until thickened.
