These are just a sample of the females you will find on our ranch. Our female herd is made up primarily of Hudgins and Sugarland genetics. The cattle are very fertile with our pregnancy rates averaging in the 80 % range annually. The cattle are thick, deep, long bodied, great milkers and have wonderful dispositions. First the cow starts by lying down as she goes into labor. You can start to see the front feet as she bears down and pushes. Here is a closer picture. You can see the head at this point.

To strip with a natural hand rubbed finish. Or maybe paint,. If paint then which version. Oil based, latex or chalk. I'd been wanting to try the DIY version of chalk paint and. This seemed liked the perfect project. So chalk paint it was. Simply a sample pot of paint and some plaster of paris. This is the results!
