5 drops in a warm bath. Lavender flowers in a muslin bag tied to the tap soaking in the bath. A few drops of oil on a tissue or pillow to encourage sleep (insomnia). A few drops on the wrists. A few drops on the temples to ease headaches and migraines. Massage: Use up to 10 drops in 20ml of carrier oil e.g. sweet almond oil. Put on neat to take the itch out of insect bites. Can be put on bruises and minor burns and sunburn. Use a hot Lavender compress to reduce inflammation.

Thursday, August 07, 2008. Hello to all my family and friends :). I just returned from my family reunion out in Upstate NY this past weekend and it was a ball seeing folks I hadn't seen in almost 20 years (D'oh! The Kelcourse clan had the most representatives with 17 members in attendance. At least I think it was 17, they were all skittering about like fireflies, so it was hard to keep a count :).
