We took turns showering ourselves with hoses and shampoo meant for bathing dogs. It worked well enough. Then we got dressed in real clothes. Marilyn went wandering and rummaging around a little, then came back combing her hair with a comb meant for dogs. I didn’t think of that. Where are your old clothes? Is this a dinner date? I asked the Steward, How many days from now until the vernal equinox? A little arithmetic and I knew it was October 28 2012. And I had about half a year to get ready and get to South Carolina.
