http://www.runningescapades.com/2015/08/sup-yoga-on-cape.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. SUP Yoga on the Cape. While vacationing at the Cape, I got to try SUP Yoga. I connected with Danielle Nardi Yoga. Who does Beach Yoga and SUP Yoga on the Cape. We met up with Danielle for a 90 minute session at the Kingman Yacht Center in Cataumet. Before hitting the SUP boards, we all "confessed" our lack of experience. I've done SUP (you can read about it here. As you can see, it was a gorgeous day for SUP yoga and thanks to Danielle taking pictures with her waterproof camera...

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. ZOOMA Cape Cod Half Marathon 2014. For the third time, I made my way to Cape Cod to run a half marathon. This event was so much fun the first time I did it. That even an injury couldn't keep me away last year. This year there were a lot of highs and lows getting to race day, but ZOOMA Cape Cod. Here are some of the highlights of what make this a must-do-and-repeat race-cation event. Picking up a swag bag with a cute race tee and performance socks from Feetures. Wine samples a...

running escapades: Do this one thing and every workout will feel brand new!
http://www.runningescapades.com/2015/07/do-this-one-thing-and-every-workout.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Do this one thing and every workout will feel brand new! Sometimes I am not super excited about my workout. After waking to a rainy day, I took one look at my stability ball and yoga mat and thought, ugh. So instead of hitting the floor, I grabbed a second cup of coffee and went out on the balcony. It felt so nice (it's in the low 80s today)! That's when I decided to move my workout outside. Crescent lunge (low and high). Another amazing thing that I want to share is dinner from l...

running escapades: January 2015

Friday, January 30, 2015. As a teacher, this is a word that I say several times a day. As a runner and fitness enthusiast, not so much. I recently read a great post by Michelle at A Pace of Balance. About assessing yourself and I realized that I actually do this. The first time I did this. 8230;I've been doing all of my runs outside. Some people look at me like I'm crazy, but I love running in the winter. As long as it is above 10 degrees, it is ok. And of course I dress appropriately. Here's what I've b...

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. A Morning Date and Trip to Tuen Mun (Hong Kong). It is still hard to believe that I wake up to this view everyday. After admiring my view over a cup of coffee, I had a date with my foam roller. It's my China chiropractor until I find one here to see.meaning one that speaks English. I found this great guide to 5 Foam Rolling Moves You Aren't Doing (But Should). My morning workout was Day 30 of #MeanAbsJune challenge (it feels so good to be done! That's a cheeseburger (no bun) and f...

Monday, April 27, 2015. Progression Run and Pool Time. As much as I want to run all around Dubai, it's just not that easy. Location, no car, heat. It's complicated. So this morning instead of running circles around the track. At the park again, I decided to do a Nike Run Club workout and this one came to my inbox. So I was all dressed up in my Oiselle and had the fitness center to myself which meant.#gymselfie time! How do you like to recover after a good workout? Links to this post. Event was being held...

Sunday, August 24, 2014. Training Truths: ZOOMA Week 6 - Testing Limits. How do I test my limits? Run 10 miles solo. I've been taking advantage of summer break and doing my long runs on Friday mornings so that my weekend time is a little more open. Most of the local group runs are on Saturdays/Sundays and mrC has had more Friday trips lately, so it's just me. How do I test my limits? Choose a hilly route for my long run. Cape Cod has hills! 7 mile run in Newport where there are in fact, HILLS! How do you...

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Dirty Little Secrets {WIN Detergent Giveaway}. Disclosure: I received product from WIN Detergent to review through my relationship as a Sweat Pink Ambassador. All opinions are my own. We all know that workout clothing is an investment. I have always taken special care of my gear because I want it to last as long as possible. For example, I do not put workout gear made with moisture-wicking fabrics in the dryer. I let them hang dry right along side my work wear. I like that th...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Workout Wednesday and WIAW: EMS Restaurant Holiday Meals. It seemed like such a long wait for vacation to begin and now I'm enjoying every moment. It feels so good to sleep in and ease into the days! This year for Christmas Eve. All the kids were home and we tried something new for our dinner celebration. That talks about using EMS for training, recovery, and rehab. My rebuilding muscles need all the help they can get! We took our Christmas Eve family dinner to Fratello's fo...
