My superhero was called Alaster Girl. She rescued a diamond from the jungle. Alaster Girl's super powers were that she could stretch. Monday, 17 October 2016. This week in maths we are learning about different units of measure. Today we were investigating different units for measuring length and height. Friday, 4 March 2016. This year, we are hosting half-termly drama workshops to support improvements in Writing as well as to raise the profile of 'The Arts' across the school. The workshops have been delivered by Sophia of the Hurst Childrens' Theatre Group and have been thoroughly enjoyed by all! Friday, 15 January 2016. In Maths this week Year 3-4 went shopping to learn how to subtract. We used the conservatory to set up a shop. Monday, 25 January 2016. Two weeks ago we started Martial Arts. The first week we did punching and jumping. We were practising our 'jabbing' with a partner using pads. We were given instructions such as 'right, right, left or right, right, right, left, left. Thursday, 3 March 2016. WORLD BOOK DAY 2016! Today the whole school celebrated their love of reading. The children all dressed up as their favourite book character we had a selection of Harry Potter's, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Where's Wally, Percy Jackson and much, much more! Thursday, 12 June 2014. Creating a treasure hunt! We were inspired by the treasure hunt we followed yesterday and have been very busy yesterday and today creating a treasure hunt for Miss Worsley! We put a message that said "If you want some treasure you must follow this map! And a treasure map that we had drawn into a bottle and delivered it to Miss Worsley. Wednesday, 24 February 2016. On Thursday we went to play a Netball match against Little Gaddesden. By the end of the first 20mins the score was 2-2. Dylan scored the first goal and Kaia scored the second goal. At the end of the match the score ended up as 7-2 to Little Gaddesden. despite us losing, we still enjoyed the match and we all demonstrated our value of the month, unity. Great Gaddesden Years 5/6.
