Random rants from the Heart of Texas. July 08, 2006. OK, usually I run across random "news" stories and post them, along with my comments. Today, I have yet to run across any news stories that catch my eye, so I must break from my norm and post my own thoughts. Scary. First of all, the news out of Korea is scary. Is it just me or does anyone else get the North K. and South K. mixed up too? What if he actually lands a missile in Hawaii or elsewhere? We the UN just ask for sanctions? Man of the people?

Random rants from the Heart of Texas. June 26, 2006. I haven't blogged much recently, it seemed lately nothing was going on in the world to inspire me. That all changed a minute ago, courtesy of MSN news. See, I didn't lie did I? Oh yeah, I left out the part that it was an accident. but that part was inconsequential because even if the cop had pulled the right weapon and tazed the crazy dude, the crazy dude would have FALLEN, probably on his head. Oh, and the best part of the story was the head line;.

Random rants from the Heart of Texas. May 31, 2006. AlGore, back at it. I find the below quotes by Mr. Algore to be intensely maddening, and incredibly hilarious, all at once. This man comes across like a rabid dog, to me at least. In an interview with the Guardian today, the former vice-president calls himself a "recovering politician", but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming. This cracks me up&#...

Random rants from the Heart of Texas. May 02, 2006. I make a world class burrito, thank you very much. Notice the little US flags on the dudes head, with MEXICO emblazoned across the sombrerro above it. Can these people make up their minds? Posted by Daniel @ 10:50 AM. May 01, 2006. One more excuse to not do yard work. I ran across this on Drudge, and realized I had found the ultimate way to get out of mowing the lawn this weekend. Posted by Daniel @ 5:24 PM. Random rants from the Heart of Texas. August 07, 2006. Ahh, come in, sit down, and throw something at your waiter. For some strange reason, I find this article very amusing. Maybe I should look into opening one here in Waco. This comes from Beijing. Stressed-out Chinese can now unleash pent-up anger at a bar that lets customers attack staff, smash glasses and generally make a ruckus, a Chinese newspaper reported Monday. The bar charges from 50 yuan ($6.25) to 300 yuan for the pleasure. Man of the people?

Random rants from the Heart of Texas. August 18, 2006. Proof of 'reverse evolution'. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. A Columbia man was arrested after he allegedly struck an acquaintance in the ear with a sword Tuesday during a fight over a beer at a Forest Drive gas station, a Columbia police incident report said. Random rants from the Heart of Texas. April 29, 2006. Is the US headed for a Mid-East type crisis? As I studied and observed first hand the "mid east crisis" I realized how crafty and cunning the Palestinian leaders were. These guys sat around and waited for the Israeli's to build cities, roads, trains, airports, power grids, sewer systems etc. etc., then popped up and told the Israelis leave or be driven into the Mediterranean. What about the lives that have assuredly been saved because of the wall?
