Tuesday, November 16, 2010. I was told to take 10 days off after my half marathon to give my body the best recovery possible. Today is day 9. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I'm not a runner. Except for the fact that I just finished my first half marathon. Jen and I completed the Battleship North Carolina Half Marathon this past weekend in Wilmington. I had quite an experience, so I wanted to get it all down on this blog before I forget it all. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Half Marathon Training, Week One. Day 3 of 102 workouts on the Half Marathon Training Plan. Jen and I are crazy. BUT! We are totally doing this. Tomorrow we've got 3 miles Jillian. This plan is all thanks to Jen. Who created it after compiling several different training plans. I am seriously so excited to finish out this week. I've managed to avoid the depression that usually comes from a great weekend of friends and then being secluded in Texas. Even my cohort has noticed. I'm doing another triathlon in September. Friday, June 18, 2010. Finishing what I started. I have been on an amazing roll in the past two weeks. I have worked out 9 of the last 10 days, alternating between swimming, biking, and running. A few days ago I ran 2.5 miles. Where did all of this come from? I'm no longer eating my sadness and I'm working out every morning instead. It's such a great way to start my day, and I feel so great.
