This involves removing the tartar that develops in areas difficult to reach with routine daily brushing. Daily flossing and brushing help prevent unscheduled visits to the dentist when combined with annual dental exams and dental teeth cleanings every 6 months. A healthy diet is also important for avoiding tarter build-up, cavities and gum disease.

In 1996 she graduated from the Dentistry program at the University of Toronto with Honours. She spent the next year doing a Dental Internship at the Toronto General Hospital before entering into private practice.
