Now that we have formally adopted receiving children for communion our children are preparing to take communion before confirmation ( welcoming them to the table) There are eleven children in all, from our Group churches, who will take their first communion on 31st May. Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptized and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship’. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. In this case the Bishop of Chelmsford. It was a very moving service and loved by all who came.

Over the weekend of the 12th/13th September the Annual Flower Festival for our churches was held in St Martin’s at Lt. Waltham. The weather was dry but not very warm but the people came to see the displays of flowers, the teas and the stalls. There were just a small number of stalls but with the donations we made 1,660 for church maintenance and mission. Thanks to all those who made this possible. Come, let u...

Our current pattern for services is every Sunday 11am at Little Waltham and at 9.30am on weeks 1&2 at Little Leighs and weeks 3&4 at Great Leighs. On 5th sunday months we combine at 10.30am at a church in rotation. We also have other services within our Group in Gt Waltham Parish. Let all the world, in every corner sing….
