A knitting blog by julia. Monday, January 09, 2006. 1 Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? I suppose that, yes, I'm something of a yarn snob. I really like natural fibers and generally don't shop at craft stores like Michael's or Joanne's for yarn. Though, I do buy 100% cotton there sometimes and I do like Lion Wool and Wool Ease for certain things. You can't beat the prices, that's for sure! 2 Do you spin? 8 What other crafts or...

aurora australis: SP package!
http://auroraknits.blogspot.com/2006/08/sp-package.html
No, never heard of it. Hand over your yarn. I got home this afternoon and found a lovely pink SP package. It has the BIGGEST yarn and needles that I have ever seen in it! That's Big yarn in pink, and two different fun furs. And chocolate. Which someone ate once the package was opened (doo-doo-de-doo). And big needles, which are cute in a weird sort of way. Thanks SP! I love pink. Even when I was a moderator on a goth website, my avatar had pink in it. Another score this week, and a CPurl inspired photo.

Knitting or Something like it. Limey Knitting in California. Sunday, July 31, 2005. New Felted finished things. Here are the results of the great felting experiment. I knitted the laptop case from IK Fall 05; it was a fast 5 day knit. The stripes are knit as usual, then the bag is made by folding the fabric in half top to bottom, sewing up one side and along the bottom. The triangles formed when the bottom is flattened are sewn also, giving the bag some depth. Here it is complete with the resident laptop:.
