Chaggas and Status Quo | SaHaRa Soul Food
https://saharasoulfood.wordpress.com/2007/08/10/chaggas-and-status-quo
Food To Feed Your Soul. Chaggas and Status Quo. So you got lucky and married a Chagga. Let me warn you Chagga’s have a thing with status quo. When you meet a Chagga and he rises an eye brow, by that gesture he doesn’t mean he’s trying to place you, he actually means, and you are? Granted, names are everything to many people. They says it’s connections that get you places. But duuh! I used to think our cousins up there are bad, but kweli us Chaggas deserve a trophy! So Lelo, what’s your father’s name?

Bee's Weblog: OUR LAST DAY...
http://throughbeeseyes.blogspot.com/2008/01/our-last-day.html
Our last day of the tour started at 09:30 am when we went to Litchfield National Park. There we saw major termite moulds. Not just one or two – no, there were lots! Next up was Florence Waterfalls, were most of us enjoyed the sun and some went for a swim. After lunch at Wangi Falls, we went back to Darwin. Then it was time to say Good Bye to those leaving that evening and to those, we might not see anymore the next morning. It wasn’t hard to tell that no one really wanted this to end….

Bee's Weblog: HUMPTY DOO AND DARWIN
http://throughbeeseyes.blogspot.com/2008/01/humpty-doo-and-darwin.html
HUMPTY DOO AND DARWIN. What an exciting (but also sad) day! At 8:30 am we were off to Darwin. We stopped at a Didgeridoo shop in Humpty Doo. 8211; and no, I am not making this up! The town is really called Humpty Doo! Once Dahna had said that name, I broke out in laughter which didn’t stop for a while. And then there was Darwin – cars, shops, an hotel was an elevator! After those days in the outback it felt amazing ;). There were also other stuffed animals, which actually was a bit creepy.

Bee's Weblog: June 2007
http://throughbeeseyes.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Just ten months after losing our dog. My family had to deal with yet another shock on Monday. Our Rottweiler. Suddenly didn't wanna eat and also couldn't get up anymore. The vet didn't know what was wrong and so my dad went to a clinic for x-rays. The shocking and heartbreaking news: Cancer! Spreaded everywhere already. When the vet saw the photos, he was surprised that Nero never showed any signs of aggression or anything indicating the pain he must have been in. 0 Comments / Add comment. Subscribe to: ...

Bee's Weblog: ULURU
http://throughbeeseyes.blogspot.com/2008/01/uluru.html
Our night was over at 4:30 am - once again we wondered whether we're indeed on vacation ;). The bus left at 5:15 am to a sunrise viewing point in front of Uluru. There we had breakfast while watching the colors of the Rock changing with the rising sun. At 8:30 am it was time to put on our jeans and jump on a Harley for a 10 minutes ride around Uluru. No, we didn't drive ourselves :P It was pretty cool sitting on that bike, we felt like cool biker chicks ;). After lunch we went back to the resort where I ...

Marrying a Chagga | SaHaRa Soul Food
https://saharasoulfood.wordpress.com/2007/06/19/marrying-a-chagga
Food To Feed Your Soul. I have always known that getting married to a Chagga woman is a headache, especially if you are a. But my girlfriend’s dad took the cake and the cherry on top! With a mchagga father one never wins! You see, most Chagga parents don’t believe in inter-marriage. When the topic of marriage comes up they will always insist that home is always best. Infact some parents are so fast at hooking their children up! When is daughter coming back? Is she done with her law degree? Hmm, say German.
