My Green Wellies: Little greenies
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/p/little-greenies.html
As any parent knows, having a baby really changes your life - but when you're trying to be a green parent, there are even more decisions to make and challenges to face. I felt on the old blog that there were already getting to be quite a number of posts relating to making environmentally responsible choices about how we look after and bring up our baby, so here they are. My Green Wellies: Green thinking

Some of my posts are really mini-articles on a range of green issues, so if you're in a thoughtful mood, and have the time, why not have a browse? You're more than welcome to quote me, but please do link back to the original post and give me a credit - thanks! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Green Wellies: March 2012
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 March 2012. Craft and gardening. They might seem like an odd combination of hobbies – one active and one relatively passive; one that is outside in all weathers and one that is comfortably undertaken indoors; one that ties you to a location and one that is (in most cases) portable. My Green Wellies: April in the garden - is spring finally here?
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/2013/04/april-in-garden-is-spring-finally-here.html
Wednesday, 3 April 2013. April in the garden - is spring finally here? My first 'real' day in the garden of the year, yesterday. I love spring gardening, the greenhouse is a cosy place to work, rather than being roasting hot. Working on the beds is relatively straightforward as there isn't too much growing. And there aren't many weeds yet - a sure sign that Spring is only just beginning to take hold! Fingers crossed for a better growing season in 2013 than we had last year! Get your green wellies fix.

My Green Wellies: My wellies
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/p/my-wellies.html
The keen-eyed amongst you may have noticed that my wellies have changed. I know it isn't very environmentally-sound to buy new things before the old ones have worn out, but I'm afraid I impulse-bought my old wellies from a cheap shoe shop in Oxford and they never fitted very comfortably, so they're off to the charity shop to make way for . They come from Seasalt clothing. Look out for the wellies in my posts . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Get your green wellies fix. Or follow by email. Join the Fish Fight!

My Green Wellies: January 2013
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 28 January 2013. January in the kitchen (part two): chocolate or coffee marmalade? No January in the kitchen would be complete without some marmalade. I've made the orange-stuff enough times now that I'm becoming an old hand - dispensing with the cooking thermometers and the recipe book time guides in favour of a certain 'sense' that setting point is upon us. For anyone who wants to give them a go here's what I did:. Orange and coffee marmalade. 3 heaped tbsp strong cafetiere coffee. 2 Transfer e...

My Green Wellies: June 2012
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 24 June 2012. At the beginning of June I decided I was going to be very strict with myself about finishing craft projects once I’d started them. I discovered when I was making a little pair of shoes for a friend’s new baby that there was more satisfaction in starting, working on, and finishing a project in a couple of weeks, rather than my usual project timeframe of months! 1 t-shirt with mark and some fabric scraps. Use an iron to activate the glue. The three flowers ready for the embroidery.

My Green Wellies: July 2012
http://mygreenwellies.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 16 July 2012. This green and pleasant garden. Well, St Swithin’s Day (15 July) has come and gone and we are once again being rained upon (thinking about it, maybe this could be a new weather saying -it even rhymes! St Swithun's day if thou dost rain. For forty days it will remain. St Swithun's day if thou be fair. For forty days 'twill rain nae mare. Maybe sunshine in a jar is the best we can hope for this summer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Get your green wellies fix. Or follow by email.
