Green Bar Mitzvahs in Israel. Go green in the holy land - we'll help! Thursday, March 19, 2009. Lunch at the Hans Sternbach Winery. Last Shabbat afternoon, I went with my family to visit the Hans Sternbach winery. The winerey is owned and operated by Gadi Sternbach and his wife Shula Yefet in Givat -Yeshaayahu (about 10 minutes from Bet Shemesh, and 40 minutes from Jerusalem), and is named for Gadi's father. The winery restaurant is suited for small family lunches or dinners (not kosher). There is a ...

Green Bar Mitzvahs in Israel: Into the Desert -- The Glass Museum and Kibbutz Lotan
http://greenbarmitzvahsinisrael.blogspot.com/2009/03/into-desert-glass-museum-and-kibbut.html
Green Bar Mitzvahs in Israel. Go green in the holy land - we'll help! Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Into the Desert - The Glass Museum and Kibbutz Lotan. Most bar and bat mitzvah tours in Israel are so busy seeing the sites in Jerusalem and the center of the country, that the Negev is written off the itinerary - considered " too far" or "too remote" for a short family visit to Israel. That is a shame, because the Negev offers so much, especially for the eco-tourist. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Green Bar Mitzvahs Reading Room. Thursday, July 17, 2008. Rabbi Joshua Boettiger sent me an e-mail with a nice article on the energy audit Vermont Interfaith Power and Light did for their synagogue. It has lots of good tips and provides an example of how our communities can work together to decrease our impact on the earth. Click here. To read the article. The Green Bride Guide. Interfaith Power and Light. Thanks for the Interfaith Power and Light blog post. Yep, our Vermont folks do a great job.
