Saturday, May 30, 2015. Chandeleur Islands (Cat Island) 2015. Heading to Biloxi with a quick stop in Alexandria. Joka's Wild - Home for 3 days. Due to weather we had to fish the marsh instead of the islands. After one day without any luck we came up with a game plan to head South to Cat Island and found some fish. Cinco De Mayo at Cat Island! The horse flies were thick. We stopped keeping track of confirmed kills. Dan out fished Ian this year for the smallest fish caught. Posted by Lilly Creek Outfitters.

Thursday, March 27, 2014. Hill Country Turkey Weekend. Before heading to Houston and San Antonio for business I managed to get the buggy and suburban stuck while topping off a couple feeders. The buggy doesn't like the swamp when it has 500lbs of corn on the back! I made it to the ranch Friday afternoon to scout birds and found quite a few. 14 separate gobblers and they were all fired up. Saturday, November 8, 2014. Final cutting of hay done. Smoked a turkey for lunch/dinner. I saw more deer (10 - all doe and yearlings) Saturday sitting in a stand than I think I did all last year. Some highlights of the past month are:. Says dadada, bababa and squeals when wants something. Eats 3 meals a day of baby food and still drinks 4-5 bottles. Still not crawling but wants to really bad. In my defense, I am the WORST dancer EVER and it is no coincidence I was intramural chair and not SING chair:) But my boys love to dance and I do what I can to accommodate! I ran across this video today and thought I'd share. Last summer at Clearwater Beach a storm had rolled through the gulf and the waves were a little strong. I'm trying to help the boys maneuver the rough waters. We take full advantage of 'warm' days! Picnic at the zoo!

Monday, June 29, 2015. With all the rain it's been impossible to get our food plots in. We got a break last weekend and I was at least able to shred and then broadcast seed on a few plots not under water or inaccessible. It was definitely too wet to disk so I'll just have to see how things turn out. Shredding after dark Friday night. We did some fishing Saturday evening and kept 15 for the grease. You think they could have stopped a little further down the tracks? Luckily I only waited for 5 minutes.

Sunday, November 24, 2013. Best Time of Year. Cold, wet, duck weather. I love it! Clark and I went on the first hunt of the season at the new and improved duck pond. We saw about 30 ducks and of those 12 came in and 6 left. I'll don't mind batting .500 for the first hunt even though we really should have had 3 or 4 more woodies that came in early.
