After a long period of no new large scale dam projects in North America, we are seeing a number of them now under construction and more proposed. BC - Site C on the Peace River - 5100 GWh per year - $7.9 billion. Manitoba - Keeyask Project - 4,400 GWh per year - $6.5 billion. BC should take leadership in climate change and use WTO or NAFTA as a way to claim that not having a carbon tax is an unfair trade practice.
