People who spend more time using Photoshop than they do using a camera should call themselves artists rather than photographers. Images that were once photographs and then have been manipulated to a marked degree with Photoshop cross the line into manipulated art. They have the hand of the artist on them, if not in an analogue way, at least in a digital way. An Experiment with Film.

I have been experimenting with film and enjoying the process. I am going to try various kinds of B and W film first of all, seeing how it turns out first using different film, cameras and processing labs. Next I will try out various kinds of colour film in the same way. I shall also include Polaroid-type photography here even though it doesn’t need processing.
