Monday, October 03, 2011. Black Forrest Cafe Restaurant (Highgate Hill). Tradtionally October has been a month long salute to good beer, good friends and good times. I myself have participated in beer tastings, wonderful meals at the Black Forrest Cafe (Highgate Hill), and general revellry. When I started seeing the media for Ocsober I became a little intrigued. And then I heard about Orktoberfest. Yes Orks, Warhammer 40K Orks to be precise. So what are these events on this month? It is a massive Miniatu...

Amicis Italian Restaurant Southbank. Thursday, September 06, 2012. Wandering through Southbank with my fiancée and his parents a couple weeks ago we were torn over where to go for lunch. We decided to try Amicis as the menu looked good and the place was pretty busy compared to the places around it. The decor at Amicis is conventional, the staff friendly and the food comforting. The was a great family atmosphere. Definitely a place you can got for a relaxed meal with friends and family. My fiancée had the...

Asian Lettuce Cups (San Choy Bow) | Brisvegas and beyond
http://brisvegasandbeyond.blogspot.com/2012/02/asian-lettuce-cups-san-choy-bow.html
Asian Lettuce Cups (San Choy Bow). Saturday, February 11, 2012. As part of the whole being a bit healthier tonight I made Asian Lettuce Cups for dinner. Some call this San Choy Bow too. The basic idea is that it is a mixture of mince, vegetables and seasoning served in lettuce leaves. To eat you roll up the lettuce leaf and take a bite. You can find the recipe here at Hezzi-D's Books and Cooks. NB - As an entrée this would serve 4-6, as a main it serves 3-4. 2 teaspoons canola or vegetable oil. 1 Tablesp...
