Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Some hidden track work, in a dark room, is ware code 55 meets 80. It happens here and another hidden staging location for antelope mine. I kept the code 80 for the simple reason that i had already once bought it. These areas hold about 10 electric atlas switch machines, their would be little expense recovered on selling and upgrading to 55 with turtious. Monday, March 11, 2013. Monday, March 11, 2013. Some more progress today. Another 3 or 4 lengths down, another 4 or 5 to go. Its taking some time soldiering the wire feeds on and connecting the rails without rail joiners I'm being very particular on making sure the track is straight and the curves look good. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Tack laying tools for a cookie cutter roadbed. Laying easements haven't been so easy using a cookie cutter roadbed for me. Until recently i had only known how to do it but no tools or idea how to go about it. To draw out the radius and easement (in this case 18 3/4) measure back 19" from the straight leg leading into the corner. Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Progress on the Kirtland Route. My how time flys, I found little of it to spend on the layout over the summer. I know the golden rule is to not make the bench work deeper than one can reach. I made that mistake in both corners! I corrected one of the corners by moving the backdrop away from the wall allowing access to the back of the loop and one end of the staging. As for more of an official update:.
