Sunday, August 9, 2015. Trip to the Cabin. There was one morning I went on a run along the trail and got so far up that I saw a few deer. It was a gorgeous view that I wanted to just keep running and never stop. Too bad my knees aren't made for that. Brent was a sport to do the real camp style with his kids in the tent. To the right is the bunk house that has 4 extra beds and to the left is the shed where the tractor and 4-wheeler are stored. The gorgeous view of the red rocks made it all worth while.

Monday, March 16, 2015. On his Birthday, he was surprised with chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. I have never really mastered letter shaped pancakes, cut I tried. Truman was also surprised by waking up to birthday balloons in his room. He woke up around 6:15 to use the bathroom and would usually go right back to sleep, but the balloons birthday added too much excitement. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Summer in Utah [part 2]. July 16th we met up with Aunt Cheri and her cute girls at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. It was my first time to the gardens and boy was it beautiful. I can only image how gorgeous it is in the fall time. We probably would have lasted a lot longer being outside, had it not been such a hot day. It's always amazing what a difference it makes being in the shade. Jumping on the tramp never gets old. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. For Chantel's preschool field trip last week, we walked to the conservatory gardens in Central Park. It was beautiful and fun to see the flowers in bloom. Last Friday Chantel had her first gardening class at the bronx botanical gardens. This will be every Friday morning for the next 5 weeks. The kids planted green lettuce and then got to harvest some of the plants in the garden and eat them. My favorite ones were the chives and fennel (licorice flavored). Posted by Liz Green.
