Sunday, February 9, 2014. Ghana Humanitarian Trip Jan. 2014. We loved spending time with the Cosgraves from Highland. They took us around Accra and Aburi for one day while they were in the city getting supplies. In the evening, we were treated to dinner at a Chinese restaurant by Dr. Thomas Baah and his wife. Dr. Baah received a table top from us because the table we left on the previous project arrived with no top! He is a true champion for eye care in Ghana! Unpacking boxes at Teshie. It was also the l...

Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Romania Humanitarian Trip May 20-29, 2015. Sabrina and Tim showed us the beautiful city of Hannover, strolling through the university campus, viewing churches still standing after bombings from WW II, viewing the city from atop of the city hall tower, and enjoying good food. We have developed a good friendship with Dr. Paul Grecu who championed all of our projects in Romania. The district President, Vasily Doru was on hand to present the equipment on behalf of LDS Chariti...We ha...

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Burundi Humanitarian Trip May 11-14, 2014. This has truly been an amazing experience for us in Burundi, a new country in Africa. Before we came, Jesse and I read a book that was recommended to us about the ethnic war in Burundi/Rwanda. A selfie with Dr.Levi Kandeke, he is 40 years old, and has two children, but he looks 20! This is his eye clinic in Rumonge. It serves 300,000 people. Burundi is quite densely populated for the size of the country; 9,000,000 people. On our way home...

Natalie Hunsaker and Our Homeschool Project: Mr. Paul's Photo Shoot
http://www.nataliehunsakerblog.com/2012/07/mr-pauls-photo-shoot.html
Thursday, July 19, 2012. Mr Paul's Photo Shoot. He sure is a happy guy. The nurses tell me he even smiles in his sleep at midnight in the nursery:. I love the little lip tricks babies do in their sleep. I imagine this one is because I keep calling him "princess" (sorry, little buddy, after 3.5 years of girls-only around here, it just slips off the tongue):. Soft kisses from a big sister:. He is so perfect! July 19, 2012 at 11:55 PM. July 20, 2012 at 8:37 AM. July 20, 2012 at 4:12 PM. I am so happy for yo...

Comfort – Tales of the Titensors
https://tyandmeg.wordpress.com/2015/08/09/comfort
Tales of the Titensors. Working and Exploring in Cusco, Peru. August 9, 2015. August 9, 2015. Spending one week out of my “comfort zone” and not in a vacation state of mind, I’ve been thinking about the many ways we define comfort. I’m in that weird space between belonging to a place, being a tourist in that place, and calling that place home. I often have to duck my head while simultaneously stepping up to enter many doorways in the historical center of town. I have to turn sideways to enter my stud...

Tales of the Titensors. Working and Exploring in Cusco, Peru. Last Week in Boulder. October 30, 2010. Our last week in Boulder was filled with going away parties and packing. I hosted an Ice Cream Party with my students where we simply played music together on a warm summer evening. We also met up with many Boulder friends at once for our final going away party. So many close friends will be missed! Posted in Work Life. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Taxi Protest – Tales of the Titensors

Tales of the Titensors. Working and Exploring in Cusco, Peru. August 12, 2015. Without lessons to teach today, I thought it would be fun to take my time walking to the historic center to find some coffee and do a little Spanish study. It’s about a 30 min walk from Flor’s apartment to the center of town. It’s been rainy the last couple days, so the air had that fresh crisp quality to it. Although last night that crispness felt like frigid humidity! One thought on “ Taxi Protest. August 12, 2015 at 10:35 pm.

Tales of the Titensors. Working and Exploring in Cusco, Peru. February 14, 2016. We crossed the border back into Chile to arrive in Futaleufú, Chile. This small town is built on river tourism, rafting and fishing trips. Tyson learned about the Futa 20 years ago as a novice kayaker and has dreamed of coming here ever since. It didn’t take long for me to understand why. We’ve been… More Futaleufú, Chile. Piedra Parada, Argentina. February 14, 2016. Piedra Parada, Argentina. Climbing in Frey, Argentina.
