Hollers From The Hollows. Hollers From The Hollows is a family-friendly collection of ghost stories from DeKalb County, Alabama. They are very popular in north Alabama, and have started getting some national attention, as well. Since they are stories that have not been published before, we jokingly refer to them as "fresh ghosts". There are 17 stories, suitable for adults and children alike. Published by the Ardent Writer Press. They have been compared to those penned by the late Kathryn Tucker Windham.

But fast forward a few decades and I'm convinced that being an author is my true calling. It's a play-by-play man of a different sort. And my stories are much longer than those few thousand word books I used to read. But they are on the shelves of libraries, and it's always exciting to hear librarians telling me they are being checked out regularly. Oh, Happy Independence Day! And the winner is . . .
