Greg Stoodley Technology 2. Tuesday, 27 August 2013. 9654; How to add freckles in Photoshop - YouTube. Use a brush with scattering and spacing increased. Sample a midtone from the face. Paint where you want the freckles to be. Lower the fill or opacity to around 20%. Repeat using a different brush size and sampling a different tone. Use a photo of freckles. Overlay it on an area of the face, change blending mode to overlay. Use curves to blend it in tonally. Add a mask, then paint back in with low opacity.

Choose a large soft brush and start with a dark colour (blue for instance) and paint with one click on the canvas. Make the brush slightly smaller and choose a gradually lighter blue and paint with one click in the middle of previous click. Repeat this 4 or 5 times gradually getting lighter and smaller. Click on Low and add Gaussian Blur around 10px. Click on high layer, image Apply image. Use layer low, blending mode subtract, scale 2, offset 128 then ok.
