The Plateniks: April 2015
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Thursday was Will's boosterthon fun run at his school. The kids run laps that are 1/16 of a mile in an effort to raise money for things the school needs. This year it is more iPads and ChromeBooks. They collected pledges for about a week and then had the big run. The goal of each student is to run 30-35 laps. Will ran 44. He rocked that! Will even got the game ball in his first game last weekend, going 3/3 with 2 RBIs and playing catcher and first base. Sunday, April 12, 2015.

The Plateniks: June 2014

Sunday, June 29, 2014. Last night was our 2nd attempt at our YMCA staff outing to the Flying Squirrels game. We had perfect weather for it this time! Miss Andi threw out the first pitch and Kylie went down to the field with her! Kylie was so excited to do that job. It turned out that it was just Will! We got to go way under the stadium and get the giant toothbrush and then take the limo golf cart out to the field. He, of course, had to keep his eye on the game while we waited. And then the sugar set in.

The Plateniks: September 2014
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. Will had school photos last week. Unfortunately, he spilled chocolate milk all over himself at lunch BEFORE the photos. So, we did our own little photo shoot at home. We already bought those pictures so that should be interesting. He had his own ideas about how photos should be posed. And on Saturday he was 4/4 in his baseball game and had 3 RBIs. His team won 7-3. He is a really great baseball player when he's out there having fun and not worrying about being perfect. Caleb's...

The Plateniks: March 2014
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Will's Kindergarten "Spring" musical was today and tonight! It was also supposed to be yesterday, but we had our 15th snow day. Today, there was a 2 hour delay. Winter needs to END. At least they got to have their play. It was about cats who were in a finishing school trying to learn different things so they would be adopted. Monday, March 17, 2014. St Patrick's Snow Day #1782. But, today, we stayed home. Played in the snow. Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Monday, March 3, 2014. Yeste...

The Plateniks: March 2015

Friday, March 13, 2015. Well The Green Warriors had a perfect season. It was fun and we learned a lot, but we never won a game. Coach Brooks named Will the defensive specialist of the team, though. Look at that hustle! And he is all over these kids, blocking their shots and passes. He got a medal and goes to baseball practice tonight. He cannot wait for baseball. Saturday, March 7, 2015. Hopefully, the snow is leaving for good after this weekend, but before it does, we decided to paint it. Snow Day # 987.

The Plateniks: February 2015
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. At least Mom got her into the pediatrician as soon as they opened their doors yesterday, and they saw her fluid and blood covered tonsils and prescribed the strongest medicine for strep. She is feeling much better today and was up and out in the snow with Will. Wait Where did Will go? We explored the woods, looking for animal tracks, but all we found was Tank. Over and over again. It was alright snowman making snow, so we headed back to the yard to make one. Picture Window te...

The Plateniks: April 2014

Thursday, April 24, 2014. It's Spring Break here, so we planned one big outing for the week. The National Zoo! We headed into the city with our friends and met up with a bunch more friends. Will loved the adventure of the whole thing but did say tonight that he remembers a bigger zoo when he was little. The sea lions and otters were very entertaining and the giant pandas were adorable and active. Sunday, April 20, 2014. We've had another busy weekend here! This year, one silver egg with $1 in it and one ...

The Plateniks: October 2014
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. Our skeleton and Queen Elsa were up and ready to go at 5:30 this morning. That is Mom's fault for telling the boy we would be meeting up with friends at 5:30 and going trick or treating when it was dark. It was, indeed, dark at 5:30AM. Apparently, Will can tell time now. But first, they went to school. Kylie had swimming at school. Will got a bunch of treats at school. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. We were supposed to carve the pumpkins yesterday, but a slight misunderstanding at s...

The Plateniks: May 2015
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. SoSummer has started. We started it with a trophy for Kylie for TBall, immediately followed by a strep throat diagnoses about 30 minutes after this picture was taken and it was discovered she had a 102 degree fever and couldn't swallow. Nothing says Friday night like antibiotics, right? She was quarantined for Saturday but came right back at in on Sunday for a big outing. The whole family had such a great time here with our friends. Especially our little Mermaid. Team River Runner ...

The Plateniks: July 2014
http://theplateniks.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2014. Will went to 2 weeks of swim camp through the same coaches that Kylie sees every week. That ended last week and was so successful for him, giving him more confidence and more skills in deeper water. He mastered the streamline back kick, which was very difficult for him. This week, he went to lacrosse camp for 3 evenings. The weather was perfect for lacrosse camp, being in the 70s every evening and not humid. I don't know why he looks so big now. That's the shot that scored! Josh,...
