GRETCHEN M. FREITAG. A collaborative effort between Texas A&M University and DreamWorks Animation. In 10 weeks, students were tasked with creating a 30 second, photo-realistic, animated short at an industry level quality. Team Short Stack consisted of five student who each took on the responsibility of a specific leadership position from the animation pipeline. Each team met with a variety of artist from DreamWorks Animation throughout the summer for critique and guidance.

GRETCHEN M. FREITAG. There are a variety of structures and processes that are responsible for the temporary storage and manipulation of information. The Working Memory is an abstract representation of those various systems that create, store, and re-call memories. Gretchen uses post processing techniques to combine paint and other media to create these ethereal interpretations that portray these functions in mid-process. The varience of crystallinity can be described by four quantitave levels. Holocrystalline which are completely crystalline and then hypocrystalline that are crystals embedded in amorphous or glassy matrix. Hypohyaline refering to partially glass and finally, holohyaline which are completely glassy.
