Dave J Ford: Fiddle teacher Newburgh, North Fife, Perthshire, Scotland

Image left: Gavin Brown. David J Ford: private lessons in Newburgh, Fife. Of all the instruments out there, the fiddle – along with the Church Organ perhaps, requires pure dedication. It’s an instrument too that requires the most of ones listening skills. Once tuned properly most instruments have set notes which play their pitch. Accurately. A piano. Has fixed pitch keys, a guitar. Have pre drilled holes, brass have set lengths of tube (apart from the trombone which requires similar listening skills).

Dave J Ford - Trumpet teacher Lessons & tuition, Newburgh, Fife, Scotland

Dave playing with top function band Corra. David J Ford: private lessons in. Left photo: Gavin Brown. The trumpet is just such a cool instrument. It’s loud and naughty but can also be smooth and soulful, especially when played with a mute. There are just 8 combinations of valve positions on a Trumpet, the other aspect of hitting notes being in tightening or loosening the embouchure 1. To Dave on Trumpet playing his own composition: MP3-6. Page Dave plays all instruments. Then try a couple of exercises.
