Have Passport, Will Travel. Friday, October 23, 2009. Finally the patient is home. It was a bit of a shock seeing her. We last saw her on saturday a week ago and she was swollen up quite bad. Now that they have the protein and albumen level thing sorted and she is on steroids she has lost all the swelling. But now she looks like a p.o.w. from a concentration camp. Have Passport, Will Travel. Tuesday, October 24, 2006. I tried to upload some pictures but that didn't work today. No worries. Last sunday we took Jay to Stanstead Forest. We again let him off the lead. He was fine, just trotting about and not trying to run off. When we got to the bottom part of the forest I remarked to Jackie that it was a bit odd that we hadn't seen any deer. Normally we see quite a few in that place. Have Passport, Will Travel. Monday, July 31, 2006. Away in the Caravan. I had an excellent weekend in Waldringfield camping with the missus. We got there on thursday and stayed till sunday. The weather was fine, no rain or anything. Maybe I should change my name back from Rainman. This here is me quaffing a pint of fantastic Adnams Broadside. This stuff is seriously nice. www.adnams.co.uk. To me this is the only real ale that is consistently good. Needless to say I drank it till the ground got wobbly.

Have Passport, Will Travel. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. OK, another update. I have just had the vet on the phone about Mickey's progress. Mick can come of the antibiotics. The steroid dose can be cut down to just 8 tabs a day. To make sure that he stays 'regular' he has to go on cod liver oil capsules. I have had a gastric band fitted and a painful 7 year old umbilical hernia fixed.My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the oesophagus also in the same week in August 2006,the most painful cancer there is apparently and was given only a few months to live.
