The Griffin Ranch was established in 1849 when Elbert Dickson bought 160 acres from William Roark. The land passed through descendants of the related families of Dickson, Wyche, Graybill, Cunyus, Magee, Howard and Griffin. Five hundred acres were added to ranch around 1940 by Porter Griffin. Historically, the land was used to grow cotton, corn and sugar cane. After World War II, more cattle were added and the land use changed to pasture, hay production, timber and wildlife. 7151 FM 349 Kilgore, TX 75662.

Thursday, May 3, 2012. Almost 2 years old! I am a slacker, or rather I've allowed Facebook to take over my time so that all my kid updates occur there and not here. Apologies for anyone who is still actually following this blog! So this is Griffin Ranger, the curly haired angel boy. He is so sweet and is my most cuddly little guy.
