http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Monday, September 22, 2008. And I keep this world from draggin me down. Unless something comes up, I am going to a friend's on Wednesday. I am looking forward to that too. But, I hate leaving my house. So, I will get over it, and get out of the house by myself for a little bit and leave them all on their own. Scary. Why has my cursor disappeared? Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Where the sky begins the horizon ends. First, I want to say if you have never read the words to Tom Petty's "A...

The Great Wide Open: July 2008
http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Thursday, July 24, 2008. Under the Sky of Blue. Wow, so much for every day. I must be the laziest blogger ever! Well, in less than a month, Mara will start the fourth grade. Only 2 more years until middle school. We ended up staying at a hotel in Asheville because it was raining a little bit. Please. I was looking forward to camping in the rain, but Martin has sleep apnea and had to have his CPAP machine, so he wanted to stay in a hotel. Wussy boy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My husb...

http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Saturday, November 29, 2008. Oh baby don't it feel like heaven right now, Don't it feel like somethin' from a dream. Sure enough, next post is the birth story. Christine Ione Reaves was born at 5:57 am on November 28, 2008. Well, to my knowledge, nothing was happening, and I fell asleep on the couch watching the House marathon on USA. Now, I have every episode of House available on DVD, so I was watching the marathon only because nothing else was on. When mom got here, I was laboring...

The Great Wide Open: June 2009
http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Friday, June 26, 2009. They're callin' you a sickness, disease of the mind. Title is from The Criminal Kind from Hard Promises. If only they would. I will never completely understand this bullshit this world has about not telling the truth after someone dies, unless the person is actually convicted of his crime.then we can't get enough of telling the truth. So, in 10 years when someone says they were influenced by Brittany Spears, will she be an icon? Is proof enough for me. Maybe by...

The Great Wide Open: February 2011
http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Sunday, February 27, 2011. This was written in June of 2010, but I wanted to go ahead and post it. Liam James Reaves's Birth Story. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write this. It has been a struggle to find a time to write it all down with now having 4 kids. My oldest graduated from 5th grade and then left for a week to go to Washington, DC with the other safety patrols from her school. The last almost 2 weeks has been a blur. This labor would be completely different. I was havi...

The Great Wide Open: February 2010
http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Friday, February 26, 2010. Restless through and through. Okay, so I won! Renovation has begun on the back room and sort of the kitchen! It goes like this: We decided to completely remove our back door which was in what is going to be Mara's new room. Then, I point out to Martin that doing that so will mean that everything is going to have to come in the front door of the house! So, I now have a brand new back door with a window in it even! So, the big goal for the weekend is to get t...

After the living room gets done, I have to clean the rest of the house and rearrange our bedroom, and I still have to gather all the supplies for the home birth. At least, I finally ordered the birth kit. Anyway, I don't have much of anything else to say tonight. Monday, October 20, 2008. Anyway.I'm done for now. On to...

The Great Wide Open. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Goodnight baby, sleep tight my love. Her mother had had this thing about living long enough for her great-grandchildren to remember her. I remember her but I don't know if I remember her because of my own memories or because of the stories Nana told of her mom. I want those memories for my children. I love you Nana, and I miss you more than words can say. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Well, the man out to end us had a hurricane business. Am I the only freak?

The Great Wide Open: March 2009
http://reavescp.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The Great Wide Open. Thursday, March 5, 2009. I got my own way of workin'. The room was instantly warmer after putting in the insulation and the new windows. The poor kids used to only have 1 outlet in the entire room. Now they have 7. It won't be too much longer before the kids are back in their room and out of sleeping in my living room. All of this with my darling 3 month old sweetheart. She is such a darling. She actually falls asleep to the sound of the drill. She is definitely my baby.
