Saturday, August 22, 2009. I started this hitch like I ended the last, in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The sweeping solitude satisfied my senses, and seeing sweet structures like this stopped me in my steps. Badger Pass was the first of the hitch and seeing far into the Bob made me feel like a small speck on this beautiful planet. A great view up Tubby Creek valley. Ahern Glacier towers above everything, with Helen Lake and Lake Elizabeth settled into the cirque valley. The best place on Earth! View From...

Friday, July 31, 2009. My latest escapade took me into the Bob Marshall Wilderness, a vast million plus acre national forest south of Glacier NP. My trail lead me south along the lazy South Fork of the Flathead River, pictured below winding its way north. Butterflies weren't the only prevalent beauty throughout the wilderness; flowers, flowers and more flowers were blooming all around me. I tried to stay as empty as possible so I could fill up my whole cup. As a concert is in so many ways a canary song; at least I knew it would be very China telling. Nuff Said.
