But don't dig too deep. Saturday, April 3, 2010. My first day in Dunedin, I arrived groggy and in need of a shower after some 36 hours of traveling all the way from Ithaca. All of my flights went super-smoothly, for which I was immensely grateful. Shaun picked me up from the airport and took me back to our new place. It is one half of a little duplex in St. Clair, about a 2 min. walk from the beach. Walking down to the beach from our new place:. The downsides of the apartment? The fish. mmm seal food!

After scouring all of the job posting websites for Dunedin, and dropping off my resume at about a million places in town, I've finally landed myself a job! I passed up the job listing for working in the sex industry (there are multiple brothels in town) and I'm working as a Greenpeace fundraiser! But, I was one of five people who got hired, and it has been a very whirlwind two weeks. A few more things:. All rich people say they can't afford it.

Another place we have been climbing is this crag called Mihiwaka on top of a hill that overlooks the peninsula. It’s a gorgeous place to climb, and the rock was really nice! Back in April I bought my plane ticket for New Zealand, and I leave on June 26th! I'm super excited about this next chapter of my life.
