Dan godden's blog. Over the next few years in Australia and across the globe we would love to see new churches starting that are both ‘grounded’ and ‘growing’. In the way that they are rooted in scripture. That they hold to truth and have a longview of God’s work in the world. Churches that aren’t just flashes in the pan but deep theological centers, holding firm to the gospel that saves and Growing. Enter your comment here. Dan godden's blog. My name’s Dan. I’m married to Renae and I go to EV Church. On the NSW Central Coast. I’m keen as mustard to see Jesus’ name glorified in Australia and across the globe through grounded, growing local churches. I’m currently a pastor at Nite EV, part of EV church and in 2012 my wife and I are moving to Wollongong. NSW to start a new church in the heart of the city that is grounded in God’s word and keen to grow in seeing more and more people in the city knowing and loving Jesus.

Dan godden's blog. If you haven’t been watching the news the last two-three weeks, Bluescope Steel, the 3rd largest employer in the region has announced the sacking of 1100 employees with more cuts due to come. This is a similar move in a similar region to BHP’s closing in Newcastle back in 1999. There is lots of pain for those affected. Lots of unknowns for the region. Julia Gillard is in Wollongong today surveying the damage and announcing some stuff for the future. August 30, 2011. Salt Church dominat...

Dan godden's blog. Preaching off a kindle. I got a kindle e-book reader for my birthday back in June and I’ve been pretty stoked with it. I’m now finding that I’d rather read a book on my kindle than in the regular paper format. It’s better for underlining and taking notes and it feels great in your hand. But on Sunday night I used my kindle for a whole new function. I put all my sermon notes on my kindle as a pdf and used it rather than paper as I was preaching. I got the idea from Nathan Bingham. Salt ...

Dan godden's blog. A tale of two churches. I went along to two churches today (among other things. went to this little place called Time Square – have you heard of it? Redeemer Presbyterian this morning at Hunter College was unlike any church service I’ve been to before. It was a large lecture hall and the music was classical and they used traditional liturgy… but it all worked! Anyway. That’s a couple of stories from today. August 1, 2011. Laquo; a nun and dennis. Wednesday, January 18, 2012. And it goes a little something like this. She looks a little bit chuffed don't you think? Sunday, January 8, 2012. The problem is that when you become a mum, you enter this whole new world of blogging, namely the 'mummy blog' world and suddenly you find yourself 'needing' the latest cool baby stuff and feeling depressed that I feed my child some non-organic, freshly grown produce and I wear trackies when going to the supermarket ( I am totally that mum). Follower of Jesus....
Ramblings: A local... well almost

Tuesday, August 14, 2012. A local. well almost. It is also different to do holidays when everyone else is not. It means you get the local school kids rocking up on your doorstep with an old doorbell asking if you are interested in purchasing some of their goods? It means less crowds, more space and only the locals around giving you a nod and a wave as you pass by. It is a different kind of holiday and I like it. Our favourite of the local towns is Berry. A quaint picturesque town with exquisite baker...
Ramblings: Mallacoota

Saturday, September 1, 2012. We spent the rest of the day exploring the beach, collecting, building and relaxing. I attempted a surf at Bastion but was quickly frozen and lasted only a few minutes. Something I have also learnt about myself on this trip is that as much as I would like to say I enjoy my own company, I don’t. And I don’t like isolation, this includes surfing in isolation. It has been cold today and the change in temperature between states is noticeable. Tomorrow we move again.
Ramblings: April 2011

Friday, April 29, 2011. It has been raining for days now and sending us all a little stir crazy. Washing is hanging on the clothes horse as it has been for many days. The dryer has been working overtime and the electricity bill is no doubt sky rocketing. So, whilst Noa was soundly sleeping, Inda and I ventured out on our morning excursion to. the cubby. Many smiles to be enjoyed. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Under that dress was the warmest I had ever felt in me life. My cheek gently rocked back and forth...

Monday, September 10, 2012. We had decided to split the next four days in half. Two days were to be spent in Melbourne City and the other two exploring the coast of the Mornington. And in the words of an amazingly verbal four year old she replied, "It's too busy and there are too many people and I dont know them and I dont want them to look at me! I couldnt have said it better myself. Saturday, September 8, 2012. Squeaky Beach is so named because the quartz sand is supposed to squeak under your feet as y...
Ramblings: Prom Country
http://amothersrambling.blogspot.com/2012/09/prom-country.html
Saturday, September 8, 2012. Squeaky Beach is so named because the quartz sand is supposed to squeak under your feet as you walk along. My brother had told me that it was working when they were there but not for us. Our highlight of Squeaky was definitely the boulders. We move on again tomorrow from the remote countryside to the bustling and vibrant coast of the Mornington Peninsula. I am going to miss this spot. I feel like I can breathe easy in these big wide open spaces. September 8, 2012 at 4:20 PM.

Sunday, June 26, 2011. Today the girls and I took a drive to one of my most favourite places in the world (not that I have the whole world to compare to), Umina Beach. Now I know I know, the Peninsula has quite the bad reputation. In fact it's known as "Mount Druitt by the Sea" by our Sydney neighbours. However, as one that grew up there it is not that at all. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. The Bond of Sisterhood. I pray for the same love between my girls. What a good gift God has given them in each other.

Listen.trust.grow.fly. Links That I Love. Lessons learned while un-blogged. Yikes This year I completely un-blogged. It would be easy to proclaim that I’ve been too busy or that I made a decision to unplug or that I’ve had nothing profound to say. All of those things have been true at one moment or another, but really I haven’t been writing at all for reasons that have nothing to do with any of that. I need to let my friends know the good stuff and the hard stuff; I need them through it all. Letting peop...
