Saturday, December 15, 2012. Some of my shiva sitters. Say that three times fast. When my brother Nate died in April of this year, we sat shiva. Sitting shiva is a Jewish custom where the family receives visistors for a week after the burial. Sometimes there are religious rites that go along with the visiting. Other notes to self re helping grieving people:. Gifts of food = good. Gifts of fruits and vegs = good also because then you don't feel so bad about all of the junk. Dropping stuff off = great.

Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Oats, Peas, Beans, and Barley Grow. Finishing what I started here. With vintage photos for people who don't like reading. For really good info, go visit Robin's blog, Lean To the Sun. Gross but allowable food. What about the convenience factor? I also precut stuff like pineapple because I like to store it in the fridge and snack on it. A baggie of frozen fruit is also refreshing. What about when you are out running errands and you get hungry? Beer (not really). Off plan.

Sunday, January 2, 2011. Is this corn hand-shucked? It's January 2. How are those resolutions coming along? Does everyone have the stereotypical health goals? Have you started or are you waiting for Monday? I'm ready to go back on plan. Last week was slightly disastrous for my plant based diet thingy. Apparently it is possible to gain a pound every day. It worries me because I wasn't even super deviant. What would happen if I went hog wild? 8226;One pound of raw vegetables. 8226;At least five fruits a day.

They were great cival servants. We take the boys sledding every year. It was snowing hard so I only took the camera out once. I think we are going to wait til next year to start Corbin Skiing.
